For many years you would not have been able to find any alcohol in Magic Kingdom. This stance from Disney was one that went all the way back to Walt Disney himself. Walt Disney World over the last few years have however relaxed their views towards drinking alcohol in Magic Kingdom. This does not mean that alcoholic drinks are widely available in the theme park though. So, let’s look at where to find beer and alcohol in Magic Kingdom?

Alcohol in Magic Kingdom FAQ’s

Are There any Bars in Magic Kingdom to Buy Alcohol From?

There are not any bars in the park. Although you will find bars and kiosks at Epcot, Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios that serve alcohol this is not the case at Magic Kingdom. This Disney park to be fair is the most whimsical and child/family orientated Disney World Park. It can also be said that it is the most magical place on earth and having quick service alcohol widely available at Magic Kingdom could easily spoil the atmosphere if a few guests get a little too carried away.

My tip would be to make a reservation at a table service restaurant and enjoy some time with your family away from the park crowds and enjoy a meal with a wine, beer or even a cocktail.

Do They Sell Beer and Alcohol in Magic Kingdom?

You will only be able to find beer and other alcoholic drinks such as wine on offer at specific restaurant locations in the park. This means you will need a table service reservation to get a beer or alcoholic drink in Magic Kingdom. The only other option to purchase alcohol would be to see if any of the restaurants are taking walk ups. So, you would still need to eat and may have to wait some time for a table.

Can You Take Alcohol into Magic Kingdom?

Do not even consider this as an option! It is highly unlikely you will get past security at the entrance of Magic Kingdom with Alcohol and it is against the rules. No alcohol is allowed to be taken into any of the Disney World parks including Magic Kingdom. This is an option not worth considering as you will only get yourself into trouble and possibly banned. Who needs a drink that much?

What Resort Bars are Close to Magic Kingdom?

The Magic Kingdom Area Resorts located around Seven Seas Lagoon are all easily accessible from the park meaning there are lots of locations to get alcohol near Magic Kingdom.. You can walk to the Contemporary Resort and the Grand Floridian as well as taking the Monorail which is probably the easiest option to get to the Polynesian Resort.

All of the Resorts have a variety of bars where you can grab a drink whilst taking a break from Magic Kingdom. This is a great option if you are taking an adult only vacation and you feel like an alcoholic drink having spent time in Magic Kingdom. Take a look at what each resort has to offer when it comes to bars and lounges:

I would suggest trying the new Enchanted Rose bar at the Grand Floridian. The Bar is split into separate Beauty and the Beast rooms and it looks so elegant. There is a wide variety of cocktails to choose from as well as Martinis, wines and beers. A great spot to take a relaxed break away from Magic Kingdom during a busy day at the park.

For a more fun and less calm experience try Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto. This Tiki bar opens at 8pm meaning it is a good location to head to at the end of your day at Magic Kingdom. Offering lots of hand-crafted cocktails and alcoholic beverages you can go head back to your resort with a souvenir Tiki mug in this fun and enchanting bar.

Wrapping Up

I hope you have found this post on Magic Kingdom selling alcohol helpful. My best advice would that if you have children in your party then look to reserve a table service restaurant for the afternoon/evening at Magic Kingdom and enjoy a drink with your food. If you are enjoying an adult only Disney World vacation enjoy the park and then head to the nearby resorts for a few drinks.
