Breakfast can be the most important meal of the day and this can be very true during a Disney World vacation as a good breakfast can set you up for a long day enjoying the Disney parks. A breakfast reservation at Disney World can also get you into the parks early, possibly meeting lots of characters and be a satisfying meal. Because of all this I thought I would share The locations for the Best Breakfast at Disney World.
11 Spots for the Best Breakfast at Disney World
Here are my Top 11 breakfast locations (in no particular order) that we enjoy during our own Disney World vacations.

1. Be Our Guest (Magic Kingdom)
Table service at this location is allocated to dinner and has recently been upgraded to signature dining meaning you will need 2 table service credits per person if you are on the dining plan. Breakfast and lunch however are both quick service in this location too and breakfast is a great option to start your day at Magic Kingdom.
This restaurant is all about the experience of dining in the Beast’s Castle where you will either dine in the Grand Ballroom, the West Wing or the Castle Gallery. We have dined in each area now and on our last visit had our breakfast in the West Wing (probably the most in demand area for guests with children). It is a little dark and really reflects how the Beast is early in the movie and has the enchanted rose on display too.
The breakfast menu has a good choice of dishes and I really enjoyed Belle’s Préféré (pictured above) but to be honest this choice is more about the experience.
Be Our Guest Breakfast Tip
Get as early a reservation as you can, and you will be right at the back of Magic Kingdom in Fantasyland ahead of the crowds.
2. Cinderella’s Royal Table (Magic Kingdom)
One of the most sought-after reservations is Cinderella’s Royal Table. This reservation is a two-table service credit one, but we have so many lovely memories of eating here as a family. I have picked it as one of our breakfast picks as it is a great way to start a day in Magic Kingdom especially when you are celebrating a special occasion.
The setting inside the castle is fantastic and we have celebrated my daughter’s birthday here on more than one occasion. The waiting staff are always lovely, and gratuity is included as well so your tip is covered in the cost which helps.
This reservation though is all about the Disney Princesses and what better place to meet them than inside Cinderella Castle. You get to meet Cinderella and have a photo before you are called upstairs to your table where you will be led up a winding staircase to the main restaurant and shown to your table. During your meal each Princess will be announced, and you will get to meet Princess Aurora, Snow White, Aerial and Princess Jasmine.
The food has always been very good but as this is signature dining don’t expect large portions but, I have always found this to be one of most enjoyable meals for the quality of the food. If like me, you have a daughter you want to spoil a little bit and create some special memories then consider Cinderella’s Royal Table. We have always managed to make the dining credits work to fit this reservation into our Disney World vacation.
Cinderella’s Royal Table Breakfast Tip
Why not try to squeeze in a few rides from rope drop first and enjoy your breakfast at Cinderella’s Royal Table a little later in the morning.
You can find our Best Character Meals here.
3. Sleepy Hollow (Magic Kingdom)
We love the location of Sleepy Hollow as it is quite close to the hub area in front of the Castle and is a great location to grab an early breakfast and take a break in the covered seating area to the back of Sleepy Hollow. More of a Kiosk than a Restaurant but it does offer quick service and snack options (especially sweet ones) such, Mickey waffles and waffle sandwiches.
Sleepy Hollow Breakfast Tip
This is a great stop for a quick breakfast having enjoyed Frontierland and Adventureland from rope drop.
You can find our Top 10 Quick Service Restaurants here.
4. Chef Mickey’s (The Contemporary Resort)
Chef Mickey’s located in the Contemporary Resort is a buffet style meal serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We always book Chef Mickey’s for all our Disney World Vacations as we always enjoy the buffet and the characters are fun and there’s quite a few to meet. We have had a lot of breakfasts here over the years and always enjoy the food. You can really fill yourself up for the day here.
The location of the restaurant in the Contemporary too is great as it is a short walk from the Magic Kingdom, so it can be a great place to have a break from the park especially on a hot busy day.
As I said there are lots of characters to meet: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck will all make their way to your table and there is always fun to be had with the characters making everyone wave their napkins above their heads.
There is a good amount of space in all the areas of the restaurant for photos with the characters and if you book this for the beginning of your vacation it’s a great start for the kids autograph books. The setting of the restaurant is nice with the monorail passing through the building as you eat and it’s nice and light in the Contemporary which makes it easy to get a good photo.
Chef Mickey’s Breakfast Tip
Consider a late morning brunch reservation and you will find a wide selection of foods on offer that cross over between breakfast and lunch. Hit Magic Kingdom Early and head over to Chef Mickey’s late morning.
5. Garden Grill (Epcot)
Located in The Land at Epcot this restaurant very slowly rotates so that you will get to see various parts of the Living with the Land ride which is located below. During your meal you will be visited by Chip ‘n’ Dale, Pluto and Mickey (in his farming outfit) and if it’s not too busy you will more than likely see them more than once. The character interactions here have always been great here for our family with Chip ‘n’ Dale always being very entertaining.
Garden Grill is a family style dining experience so your server will keep bringing out food to you rather than a buffet style meal when you have to get up when you want more food.
You start your breakfast with a delicious sticky bun bake that you tear up and share and this is followed by a big tray filled with bacon, sausages, eggs, Mickey Waffles and potato barrels. We love the sticky bun and it is always something we look forward to when visiting Garden Grill.
Being able to stay at your table takes away the stress of missing characters and you will very often see them more than once especially when you book an early breakfast reservation. Overall the Garden Grill is a great character breakfast and has been a staple of our vacations for many years.
Garden Grill Breakfast Tip
Another one where we recommend booking a reservation as early as possible. The main reason is you are in the park before the crowds and if timed correctly you can get on Soarin’ Around the World really quickly as the park opens. We have now done this twice.
6. Woody’s Lunchbox (Hollywood Studios)
One of the newer dining options at Hollywood Studios but like Sleepy Hollow at Magic Kingdom it is a good place for a quick break for breakfast in Toy Story Land.
The Breakfast Bowl and the Smoked Turkey Breakfast Sandwich were highlights on our last vacation and we can’t wait to try them again. You can also get a portion of potato barrels on their own which is good if you have a picky eater in your party.
Woody’s Lunchbox Breakfast Tip
Hit Galaxy’s Edge from rope drop then when you are done head to Woody’s Lunchbox for breakfast away from the Star Wars crowds.
7. Trattoria al Forno (Disney’s Boardwalk)
Trattoria al Forno offers the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast which is a character dining option where you meet Flynn Rider, Rapunzel, Prince Eric and Ariel. The food on offer is a set menu but it is to a very high standard. We recently posted a full review of the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast which you can find here.
Trattoria al Forno Tip for Breakfast
Book some morning fast passes for Epcot or Hollywood Studios as they both located close to Trattoria al Forno.
8. Boma (Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House)
Boma is located in Jambo House at Animal Kingdom Lodge and is another buffet style breakfast. However, Boma offers some different options compared to your other buffet breakfasts. There are some African dishes on offer such as African Fruit Fool Salad and you can also have hand carved turkey and there is a really nice French Toast Bread Pudding too. There are plenty of nice pastries and pancakes on offer too which our children always love especially the pancakes and donuts.
We enjoyed the food so much here that cancelled a table service reservation to have a second breakfast here during our last Disney World vacation.
Breakfast Boma Tip
Try to book an early or late breakfast as this restaurant is very popular with guests staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and gets busy around 9am from what we saw when we stayed at the resort.
9. Tusker House (Animal Kingdom)
Whatever meal you book at Tusker House you are guaranteed a wide variety of food to be on offer. This is probably my favorite buffet for the food on offer and when you have the characters too this makes for a great dining option.
To be fair you can’t really go wrong with Tusker House for breakfast, lunch or dinner but I really wanted to include it in this list for its overall quality and the breakfast was great on our last vacation too. The characters in their safari suits make for fun photos too. Tusker House is Definitely one of the Best Disney World breakfast locations.
Tusker House Breakfast Tip
We booked our last breakfast here mid-morning. This worked really well as we got to the park for rope drop and walked straight on to Kilimanjaro Safari first thing before riding Expedition Everest twice.
10. Ohana (The Poylnesian Resort)
Ohana located in the Polynesian Resort has wonderful views of Seven Seas Lagoon with the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella Castle in the distance. It is on the monorail loop, so it is easy to get to and from Magic Kingdom.
Like the Garden Grill it’s family style so you don’t need to leave your table. The characters take the kids on a march around the restaurant which is always fun to watch. You get to meet Mickey in his Hawaiian shirt, Pluto and of course Lilo and Stitch.
I have always enjoyed the food here for breakfast and have always enjoyed the tropical juice you get here rather than the usual orange juice at breakfast time. Breakfast starts at 7.30am too so you can always plan to eat early before catching the monorail to Magic Kingdom.
Ohana Breakfast Tip
We have found that this breakfast can get quite busy at Ohana so we would recommend trying to get an early reservation.
11. Don’t Forget Starbucks for a Quick Pastry and Coffee
Of course, if you have a busy morning planned in any of the Disney Parks a Starbucks stop can be a good option for a quick breakfast stop. A coffee and a pastry can be enough to get you started in the morning and we have found that when you are in a park during morning extra magic hours a Starbucks stop just after the park has opened to the general public can be a good time to stop.
If you have a table service reservation booked for lunch then a Starbucks can be a great quick breakfast option. One of our picks would be a very large cappuccino and a Mickey Cinnamon Bun to get us through the morning.
Take a look at the Snacks I think you should try at Disney World here
Starbucks Tip
If you are on the Disney Dining Plan and using a snack credit for a drink, then go for the largest option available and get as much for your snack credit as possible.
You can find our Disney World Starbucks guide here.
