Where to Eat Breakfast at Magic Kingdom – My Top 5 Locations

These are our top 5 breakfast locations at Magic Kingdom. The table service restaurant and quick service spots that we have had breakfast at the most when visiting Magic Kingdom during our Walt Disney World vacations.

For your consideration too we will include some honorable mentions that aren’t located inside Magic Kingdom but are close by, again these are restaurants we regularly visit for breakfast.

5. Main Street Bakery

Our first stop for breakfast is at the Main Street Bakery which is Magic Kingdom’s Starbucks. You will find this on the right-hand side of Main Street as you face Cinderella’s Castle. There is outside seating on the hub outside Casey’s Corner and the Plaza Restaurant.

This makes the Main Street Bakery a great spot for a quick bite to eat to enjoy your Disney food and a coffee before you start your day at Magic Kingdom.

Main Street Bakery is great for a quick Magic Kingdom Breakfast stop.
You’ll find a selection of quick eats at the Main Street Bakery.

You will find breakfast sandwiches, croissants, pastries and seasonal treats and of course all of the coffee and beverage options. The Main Street Bakery makes our list for its location and variety of quick to eat options ready to start a fun day at Magic Kingdom.

I have started many a day at Magic Kingdom theme park with a warm cinnamon roll (or one of the breakfast sandwiches) and a very large Coffee whilst waiting for rope drop with views of Cinderella’s Castle.

You can read more about all the Starbucks Locations at Disney World here.

4. The Crystal Palace

Set right at the top of Main Street USA is the Crystal Palace Restaurant that is home to Winnie the Pooh and friends.  Serving a table service breakfast, lunch and dinner in a buffet style where the characters, Winnie, Eeyore, Piglet and Tigger all come round and visit your table for autographs, pictures and hugs!

The Disney food here is the standard buffet options, at breakfast you will find eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, pastries and pancakes. At breakfast there is a station especially for kids that includes tater tots, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese etc.

An early booking here can be advantageous – you will be allowed into the park before other guests so you can snap that elusive picture in front of the castle with minimal guests.

You may also get lucky as you may get to sit at a window table with a view of the castle. A great breakfast location to really fill yourself up on Disney food and make some memories by meeting Winnie the Pooh and pals.

3. Sleepy Hollow

  • Location: Liberty Square
  • Counter Service
  • Great for a Breakfast Stop mid to late morning
  • Sleepy Hollow Menu
Sleepy Hollow a great spot for a quick breakfast at Magic Kingdom.
Sleepy Hollow

We love the location of Sleepy Hollow as it is quite close to the hub area in front of the Castle and is a great location to grab an early breakfast and take a break in the covered seating area to the back of Sleepy Hollow. More of a Kiosk than a Restaurant, Sleepy Hollow refreshments offers quick service breakfast and snack options (especially sweet ones) such, Mickey waffles and waffle sandwiches.

This is a great stop for a quick breakfast having enjoyed Frontierland and Adventureland from rope drop. The location of Sleepy Hollow is ideal for this strategy. Enjoy some rides first thing in the morning in Frontierland and Adventureland and then head to Sleep Hollow for a breakfast break before enjoying the rest of your Magic Kingdom day.

You can grab a Joffrey’s coffee or cold brew here too with your Disney food and snacks.

You can find our Top 10 Quick Service Restaurants here.

2. Be Our Guest

  • Location: Fantasyland
  • Quick Service Restaurant
  • Great for a magical themed breakfast.
  • Be Our Guest Menu

Table service at this location is allocated to dinner and has recently been upgraded to signature dining meaning you will need 2 table service credits per person if you are on the dining plan. Breakfast and lunch however are both quick service in this location too and the quick service breakfast is a great option to start your day at Magic Kingdom.

Be Our Guest is a great spot for a Magic Kingdom Breakfast
Be Our Guest has a wonderful interior theme.

This restaurant is all about the experience of dining in the Beast’s Castle where you will either dine in the Grand Ballroom, the West Wing or the Castle Gallery.

We have dined in each area now and on our last visit had our breakfast in the West Wing (probably the most in demand area for guests with children). It is a little dark and really reflects how the Beast is early in the movie and has the enchanted rose on display too.

The breakfast menu has a good choice of dishes and I really enjoyed Belle’s Préféré. Be Our Guest comes second from top in our list as it is a wonderfully themed dining experience and one of the best quick service breakfast options in the theme park.

1. Cinderella’s Royal Table

  • Location: Cinderella Castle
  • Table Service (Signature Character Dining Experience)
  • Great for celebrating a special occasion like a birthday – this is a very special dining experience.

Cinderella’s Royal Table Menu

One of the most sought-after reservations is Cinderella’s Royal Table. This reservation is a two-table service credit one, but we have so many lovely memories of eating here as a family. I have picked it as one of our breakfast picks as it is a great way to start a day in Magic Kingdom especially when you are celebrating a special occasion.

Cinderella's Royal Table offers a magical Magic Kingdom Breakfast experience

The setting inside the castle is fantastic and we have celebrated my daughter’s birthday here on more than one occasion. The waiting staff are always lovely, and gratuity is included as well so your tip is covered in the cost which helps.

This reservation though is all about the Disney Princesses and what better place to meet them than inside Cinderella Castle. You get to meet Cinderella and have a photo before you are called upstairs to your table where you will be led up a winding staircase to the main restaurant and shown to your table.

During your meal each Princess will be announced, and you will get to meet Princess Aurora, Snow White, Aerial and Princess Jasmine.

The food has always been very good but as this is signature dining don’t expect large portions but, I have always found this to be one of most enjoyable meals for the quality of the food.

If like me, you have a daughter you want to spoil a little bit and create some special memories then consider Cinderella’s Royal Table. We have always managed to make the dining credits work to fit this table service breakfast into our Disney vacation.

Great Breakfast Snacks to Eat at Magic Kingdom

Here are some other great breakfast snack options that you might also want to consider when considering your options for breakfast at Magic Kingdom.

Cheshire Cat Tail at Cheshire Cafe

The Cheshire Cafe kiosk is found next to the Mad Tea Party ride and here you find a delicious pastry that goes great with a coffee. The Cheshire Cat Tailis a pastry with a cream filling, oozing with chocolate chips, and covered in pink and purple icing.

Giant Cinnamon Roll at Gaston’s Tavern

Gaston’s Tavern is the quick service location where you can sometimes find lines forming outside and it usually because this is the only place where you can get the popular giant cinnamon roll. The warm cinnamon roll is delicious and if you can beat the lines it is worth trying one.

Sausage and Gravy Tots at The Friar’s Nook

The Friar’s nook offers a few good breakfast sandwich options such as breakfast sandwiches and Cinnamon sugar donuts. However I would recommend the gravy tots which is a serving potato tots covered in sausage gravy. A great savory choice for starting your day in Fantasyland.

Where to Eat Breakfast Close to Magic Kingdom

The Contemporary Resort is only a short walk from Magic Kingdom. This can make it a good spot to either enjoy breakfast before visiting the park or even after a few hours inside the park in the morning.

Sometimes during busier days at Magic Kingdom, it can be good to take a break from the theme park rather than have breakfast in Magic Kingdom and the two table service restaurants below provide some great dining options for breakfast without being too far away from Magic Kingdom.

Chef Mickey’s

  • Location: The Contemporary Resort
  • Table Service Restaurant
  • Great for Meeting Characters
  • Chef Mickey’s Menu

Chef Mickey’s located in the Contemporary Resort is a buffet style meal serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. We always book Chef Mickey’s for all our Disney World Vacations as we always enjoy the buffet, and the characters are fun and there’s quite a few to meet.

We have had a lot of breakfasts here over the years and always enjoy the food. You can really fill yourself up for the day here. Expect all the staple Disney food breakfast offerings such as scrambled egg, bacon, fresh fruit as well as coffee, apple juice and orange juice.

The location of the character meal restaurant in the Contemporary too is great as it is a short walk from the Magic Kingdom, so it can be a great place to have a break from the park especially on a hot busy day.

Chef Mickey's is walking distance from Magic Kingdom and good for breakfast

As I said there are lots of characters to meet: Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy and Donald Duck will all make their way to your table and there is always fun to be had with the characters making everyone wave their napkins above their heads.

There is a good amount of space in all the areas of the restaurant for photos with the characters and if you book this for the beginning of your vacation it’s a great start for the kids autograph books. The setting of the restaurant is nice with the monorail passing through the building as you eat and it’s nice and light in the Contemporary which makes it easy to get a good photo.

Steakhouse 71

  • Location: The Contemporary Resort
  • Table Service Restaurant
  • Walking distance from Magic Kingdom
  • Steakhouse 71 Menu

If you don’t want to meet characters, then Steakhouse 71 also at the Contemporary might by a good choice for breakfast either before or after a few hours inside the park. Here you can get a variety of American style traditional breakfast dishes or a big breakfast. Steakhouse 71 is a nice alternative to Chef Mickey’s whilst still taking a break from Magic Kingdom.

There are of course breakfast options at the Polynesian and the Grand Floridian too. Both are close by on the monorail resort loop, but we have always found the Contemporary Resort the most convenient when leaving and then returning to Magic Kingdom.
