I love a steak, especially after spending a day strolling around the parks, I thought it was probably time to put together a list of the best steaks in Disney World, where you can sit down after a long, tiring and incredibly rewarding day of exploring all of the hidden secrets in Walt’s biggest theme parks to enjoy a great and thoroughly satisfying steak.
Are you ready to get your beef on? Good, then come with me and I’ll tell you where you can find the best steaks in Walt Disney World…
1. Yachtsman Steakhouse
Location: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
I know, you were probably thinking that the restaurant dedicated to steak and all things surf and turf that’s the culinary center of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort would probably romp home to victory with the best steak in Walt Disney World trophy, but you’d be wrong.
All four of their eye wateringly priced steak offerings that’ll transport you to another realm of taste are divine, but they’re not the best steaks in Walt Disney World.
Oh, they come incredibly close to taking that honor, and the high price on the menu is worth paying, but my beating heart was stolen by two other restaurants who I am absolutely torn between.

2. Ale and Compass
Location: Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Located right next to the Yachtsman Steak House is the Ale and Compass restaurant. Believe it or not but they also serve one of the best steaks you find at Disney World. It offers an American cuisine menu which features a variety of items from fresh seafood to quality steaks, alongside other hearty comfort food options. There’s also a fantastic selection of unique beers, wines, and cocktails for those looking to unwind.
The 10-oz New York Angus Strip at Ale and Compass is truly delightful. Its flavor and tenderness derive from quality Angus beef, cooked to perfection. The steak’s rich, meaty flavor is enhanced by a sumptuous herb-butter sauce, marrying perfectly with the succulence of the beef. It’s served alongside seasonally-inspired accompaniments, which perfectly balance the hearty meat.
3. Le Cellier Steakhouse
Location: Epcot
Forget everything that you thought you knew about Canada, as Le Cellier in the Canadian Pavilion in Epcot serves one of the greatest steaks that you’ll ever eat.
And the minute that you taste their signature Filet Mignon, you will absolutely understand why it’s almost impossible to book a table in this restaurant if you don’t devote the entirety of your energies to planning everything six months in advance.
I swear, it’s a steak that once tried is never forgotten.
4. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano
Location: Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Sitting in an unassuming corner of Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the home of the best steak in Walt Disney World, Mama Melrose’s. Served with an incredible four-cheese macaroni and pancetta, this charred strip steak is literally out of this, or any other world.
If you want to try a steak that’s completely and totally imbued with Disney magic, then you need to book a table at this restaurant and let Mama do what she does best.
I absolutely love the charred strip steak on offer here and all the pasta dishes here are good. The atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Mama Melrose’s is a favorite for all of my family as we all enjoy our pasta dishes and the adults can enjoy a glass of prosecco too.
5. Steak House 71
Location: Disney’s Contemporary Resort
This family friendly Steakhouse located inside the Contemporary replaces the popular Wave Restaurant. This is a great location to take a break from Magic Kingdom for lunch. Try the Steak Frites, it is a delicious dish of Hanger Steak, Garlic-Parmesan Waffle Fries, Chimichurri and Truffle Aïoli. I really enjoyed this dish and the steak was of a very high quality and cooked just how I like it.
If you opt for dinner here then there is a lot more steak options on the menu but I was very happy with my lunch and would happily visit Steak House 71 again.
6. California Grill
Location: Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Located in the upper reaches of Disney’s Contemporary Resort (the fifteenth floor to be exact), the California Grill is one of those restaurants whose reputation often seems to exceed its execution. It’s not that the food is bad, it isn’t, it’s actually very good but given the restaurant’s reputation, I always expected it to be slightly better than it is.
Apart from that is, the steak which is an oak-aged fillet and for my money, and it will cost you a fair chunk of change, it’s the best thing on the California Grill’s menu. It’s melt in the mouth good, and the more of it you eat, the more of it you want to eat.
Trust me, if you get the chance to eat in the California Grill, the steak they serve is one of the greatest things that you’ll ever put in your mouth.
7. Jiko – The Cooking Place
Location: Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
If you’re inclined to a little culinary adventure every now and then, I’d recommend heading out to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, booking a table at Jiko, and ordering the steak there.
Served in an incredible red wine reduction, with asparagus and another African delicacy, spoon bread the steak is a filet-mignon that’s grilled according to your individual pallet and taste.
One of the most common complaints about Jiko is the size of their meals, but honestly, the steak is just right.
Whether it’s the atmosphere of the restaurant or the unique way that the fillet is cooked and served or a combination of both, it’s an unforgettable steak that hits all right notes and is more than enough to satiate the cravings of even the most ardent beef devotee.
8. Be Our Guest
Location: Magic Kingdom
Ambiance is everything in Be Our Guest, as the restaurant that takes pride of place in Cinderella’s Castle in the heart of the Magic Kingdom makes every diner and every single person who sits down to eat at one of its tables feel special.
The steak is usually served with rustic potatoes and seasonal vegetables and prepared according to your individual requirements, but after a day spent soaking in the atmosphere of the Magic Kingdom, the beef filet that you’ll sit down to is an exquisite treat that feels like it was prepared for the crowned heads of Europe.
Sometimes all you need to end a perfect day in the perfect way is an honest-to-goodness, simple steak and that’s exactly what you get at Be Our Guest.

9. Monsieur Paul
Location: Epcot
Once you’ve had a taste of France, it’s difficult to shake the urge to want to try more, which is why I’ve always suggested that anyone who adores the Be Our Guest experience, should head to Monsieur Paul’s in the French Pavilion in the Epcot World Showcase.
They serve a mouth-watering New York strip steak that’s plated with a red wine jus, cheese stuffing, and confit potatoes and it is one of the best cuts of meat in Walt Disney World, cooked by the sort of chefs who you see making guest appearances on Gordon Ramsey’s shows. It really is something special.
