Iduna (Frozen)
Former queen of Arendelle and mother to Elsa and Anna, Iduna starts off our list of Disney character names beginning with the letter I. We don’t know much about this quiet queen from the first Frozen movie, but when the sequel comes along, we learn that she hails from the native Northuldra tribe. She also happens to hold the key to finding Ahtohallan and unlocking Elsa’s full powers.
Ian Lightfoot (Onward)
Ian Lightfoot is the next on our list of Disney character starting with I. He stars in the film Onward where Ian and his older brother, Barley, strike out on a quest to find the father they lost. Hilarious mishaps ensue and the pair of elf siblings grow closer and form an unbreakable familial bond from the experience.
Iago (Aladdin)
A tricky Disney character who is technically a villain but comes around to the good guy’s side in the sequel movies, Iago from the Aladdin trilogy is our next Disney character to begin with I.
The feathery sidekick of the wicked Jafar, Iago helps the evil sorcerer accomplish his mission of acquiring the Genie’s lamp but ends up befriending the heroes before the end of the trilogy.
Isabela (Encanto)
Another addition to our list of Disney characters who start with I is Mirabel’s perfect sister from Encanto. Isabela was given the ability to grow flowers and create beautiful things which she used to help the family. It isn’t until Mirabel challenges her to grow something new does she break free and discover her true self is a little bit messier.
Imelda (Coco)
Disney’s Coco movie features our next Disney character on the list of I names. Imelda is Miguel’s great-grandmother and the one who saved her family when her musician husband left. She started a shoe business and banned music from the household.
It isn’t until she meets Miguel in the afterlife and reconciles with her husband that the family embraces music again.
Ichabod Crane (The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad)
An awkward schoolteacher from the film The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad is the next person on our list of Disney characters beginning with I. Ichabod lives in the town of Sleepy Hollow and is enchanted with a young lady from the town.
Destiny is not in his favor when he encounters the gruesome Headless Horseman and goes missing without a trace. Possibly one of the Disney character names on this list that you wouldn’t have remembered.
Ignacio Alonzo Julio Federico de Tito (Oliver and Company)
Though his name is quite the mouthful, his stature is much smaller than his nomenclature. Another Disney character beginning with I is Ignacio Alonzo Julio Federico de Tito, also known as just plain Tito, from Oliver and Company.
A chihuahua with a lot of spunk, Tito runs with Dodger and his gang, living up the street life in New York City.
Ink Spot (The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning)
The next Disney character on our list is a musical octopus by the name of Ink Spot. Featured in The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning, Ink Spot is a member of the Catfish Club Band led by Sebastian the crab. Ink Spot plays the piano and is not the most courageous fellow, leaving behind clouds of ink when he gets frightened.
Iridessa (The Tinker Bell Movies)
A fairy friend of Tinker Bell’s, Iridessa is another Disney character starting with the letter I. This bright little pixie is a light fairy and is featured in all of the Tinker Bell movies. She’s integral in making sure the fairy’s home at Pixie Hollow is perfect and welcoming especially for any new fairies who may come to join their little family.
Ishani (Planes)
Next up on our list of Disney characters beginning with I is a sleek, high-flying plane by the name of Ishani. She is a champion racer in the skies from the movie Planes. Ishani is one of the competitors in the Wings Around the Globe contest and picks up a rookie plane who is looking to learn from her aerodynamic skills.
Innoko (Brother Bear 2)
A minor Disney character who turns out to play a big part in the role of the protagonist from Brother Bear 2 graces our list of Disney characters starting with I. Innoko is a shaman from Nita’s tribe who encourages her to fulfill a quest before her marriage to Atka. In the end, she is pleased to see that Nita instead marries Kenai.
Ivan (Cars 2)
A tough looking tow truck from Cars 2 is next up on our list of Disney characters beginning with I. Ivan works for villain Victor Hugo and serves as his personal chauffeur and bodyguard. In an effort to gain intelligence for the British spies, Mater pretends to be Ivan in a comical infiltration scheme that’s sure to make you chuckle.
Ivy (The Legend of the Neverbeast and The Pixie Hollow Games)
Another fairy friend of Tinker Bell’s, Ivy is also a Disney character whose name starts with the letter I. Ivy was featured in The Legend of the Neverbeast and The Pixie Hollow Games as a garden fairy whose best friends are Lilac and Fern. She is apparently very emotional and can often be seen crying whether she’s sad or happy.
Ikki (The Live Action Jungle Book)
A Disney character not featured in the original Jungle Book but rather in the remake, Ikki is next up on our list of Disney characters beginning with I. Ikki lives in the jungle and is one of Mowgli’s animal friends. She is an Indian crested porcupine with a friendly disposition but can be a bit of a gossip and is easily spooked.
Inger Eliassen (Atlantis: Milo’s Return)
Another minor Disney character in a Disney movie sequel, Inger Eliassen appears next on our I-named Disney character list. Inger is featured in Atlantis: Milo’s Return and informs our heroes about the Kraken and Edgar Vulgud’s involvement.
Ian the Gator (The Princess and the Frog)
Last but not least on our list of Disney characters beginning with I is Ian the swamp gator from The Princess and the Frog. He and Marlon try to eat Naveen and Tiana after they’ve been turned into frogs but luckily our protagonists were able to escape the hungry jaws.
