You might be surprised by the large variety of alcoholic drinks available at Disney World. Drinking Alcohol at Disney World is quite common with beers, wines and other drinks available throughout most of the parks and Disney resort hotels. Let’s take a look at what to expect during your Disney World vacation.
Which Disney Parks Serve Alcohol?
All of the Disney World Parks serve alcohol, but it differs at each park with one in particular that only serves alcohol at its table service restaurants. Of course, the resorts offer alcoholic drinks at bars, restaurants and at their stores and food halls too. Pretty much all Disney World restaurants offer beers, wines and sometimes specialty drinks too.
Magic Kingdom – Alcohol only available at Table Service Restaurants
Epcot – Alcohol available throughout the park (quick service restaurants, kiosks, bars and Table Service Restaurants)
Hollywood Studios – Alcohol available throughout the park (quick service restaurants, kiosks, bars and Table Service Restaurants)
Animal Kingdom – Alcohol available throughout the park (quick service restaurants, kiosks, bars and Table Service Restaurants)

This is a big no no. You cannot take your own alcohol into any of the parks at Disney World. Glass containers are not allowed either. You can find more information on taking food and drink into the parks here.
What Kind of ID Will I Need to Provide to Buy Alcohol at Disney World?
All Guests 21 years of age or older can buy alcoholic beverages at the Walt Disney World Parks. If you are the correct age and wish to purchase an alcoholic adult beverage you must present a valid form of identification as listed below.
- U.S. state driver’s license (includes U.S. territories*)
- U.S. state ID (includes U.S. territories*)
- U.S. military ID
- Original passport
- Copy of passport (either on paper or captured on a mobile device), along with a government-issued photo ID** that can verify the person and birth date shown on the copy

To purchase an alcoholic drink at Walt Disney World, for U.S residents a driving licence will be a sufficient form of ID to prove your age. For non-US guests we have been advised by a cast member at Hollywood Studios that a photo on your smartphone of your passport should be fine so that you don’t have to keep carrying passports around the parks.
Alcohol at Disney Springs
At Disney Springs there is a wide variety of bars restaurants and kiosks that serve alcohol. In the evening you find several musical acts performing and you can explore Disney Springs with a drink in your hand should you choose. As with the Disney park’s drinks will be served in a plastic cup if you walking around Disney Springs with your drink as glass isn’t allowed.
On our recent vacation we spent some time at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar. This is based on a character in the Indiana Jones Movie Raiders of the Lost Ark. Jock Lindsey is the pilot who flies Indy away from trouble at the beginning of the movie.
We had a few drinks at the waterside bar at Jock Lindsey’s and we had a really nice time talking to the bar tender whilst taking in views of the lake and seeing the Amphicars take guests out onto the water. The Bourbon Mule’s here are very good. Very strong but, very good.
Alcohol at Magic Kingdom
At Magic Kingdom you will only be able to get an alcoholic beverage at a table service restaurant. Magic Kingdom was the last fully dry park at Disney World but has recently started serving alcoholic drinks at its table service restaurants.
We have a full guide to Alcohol at Magic Kingdom here.
You can read about our Top 10 Table Service Restaurants here.
You can’t buy an anything alcoholic at quick service outlets or kiosks so don’t expect to be able to explore Magic Kingdom with a beer in your hand.
Alcohol at Epcot
Alcoholic drinks are widely available throughout Epcot both in Future World and World Showcase. There is a wide range of specialty drinks at the various restaurants as well as at quick service kiosks. The most notable location for alcoholic drinks at Epcot is the World Showcase. Consisting of Pavilions representing countries from around the world at each location you will find drinks relevant to each Country.
You can find our full World Showcase Guide here .
You will find Champagne in France and Prosecco in Italy as well as Margarita’s in Mexico just to name a few. This of course brings us to drinking around the world.
Drinking Around the World
Drinking around the World is where you have a glass of wine, beer or cocktail at each of the World Showcase Pavilions. Try to pace yourself and have some snacks along the way if you are going to attempt this as there are 11 Pavilions that make up World Showcase. World Showcase is definitely the prime location for drinking Alcohol at Disney World due to the wide variety of drinks on offer at each Pavilion.
We do enjoy a few drinks around World Showcase but not at each country as that’s not what ore family vacations are about and we have children to look after too. Maybe when they are grown up we can try this challenge and they can look after us!
Alcohol at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios you can grab a beer from quite a few kiosk locations. Wines and beers are served throughout the restaurants as well as at pop up bar locations (sometimes behind Starbucks).
Inside Galaxy’s Edge you can get an alcoholic drink (or non-alcoholic if you want) from Oga’s Cantina. This location is themed around a Cantina similar to the one is Star Wars a New Hope when Luke and Obi Wan Kenobi meet Chewbacca and Han Solo for the first time.
The standard beer offering seems to be Bud Light at most Kiosk but you will find Blue Moon at a few locations too (my preference in the Florida sun).
There is also the Baseline Tap House located in Grand Avenue that’s serve California craft ales, lagers, cider and wines along with snacks and small plates too.
You read our full guide on all the dining options at Hollywood Studios here or by clicking the image below.
Alcohol at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom as with the other parks you will find alcohol is served in the restaurants and the various kiosks around the park. There are also some bar locations too.
Next to Tusker House in the Africa section of the park you will find Dawa Bar which is a counter service bar offering specialty cocktails, beer and wine. This is a great location to have a drink whilst enjoying the African street performers that perform throughout the day.
You can find the Dawa Bar menu on the Disney World website here.
Also, in the Asia area of the park next to Expedition Everest you will find the Thirsty River Bar which also serves some specialty drinks, wines and beers. This location has a really nice selection of beers to choose from.
You can find the Thirsty River Bar menu on the Disney World website here.
Tipping at Walt Disney World Bars
Do be aware that if you buy a drink from a bar that you will need to tip. At any bar type area when you buy some drinks you should tip the bartender. You will find this at Disney Resort bar areas too as this can sometimes catch out international guests. If you buy a beer from a quick service kiosk in one of the Disney parks you don’t need to tip.
Disney’s tipping for bar staff is 18% to 20% the same as table restaurants. It is more common however to tip $1/$2 per drink across the USA and that’s what we tend to do.
You can find out more about Tipping at Disney World in our article here (or click the image below).
Some of our Favorite Beers at Walt Disney World
Let’s take a look at some of our favorite beers that can be found at Disney World
Spaten Optimater (Epcot)
This dark strong beer (7.6% ALC/VOL) can be found in the Weinkeller in the Germany Pavilion. Expect huge rich, sweet malts, a deep roastiness, and caramel coupled with dried fruits when you try one of these. Be warned though it is a strong beer.
Blue Moon (Various Locations)
This Belgian White styled beer is one that I enjoy with the Fried Chicken at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs and also in the parks too. The smoothness of the drink along with the subtle citrus hit is a great way to cool down in the Florida sun.
Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (Epcot)
For many years I have enjoyed trying various whiskeys and bourbons so to combine the bourbon flavor with an ale for me is heaven. You can find this at the Block and Hans Kiosk in the American Pavilion in World Showcase.
Old Elephant Foot IPA (Animal Kingdom)
This is a very enjoyable medium bodied Indian Pale Ale that you can get at the Thirsty River Bar that I mentioned earlier. If you enjoy an IPA, then do give this a try.
The Beer Flight at The Baseline Tap House
What I love about this is that at the Baseline Tap in Hollywood Studios you can take your pick from all the beers on tap on offer behind the bar to make up a beer flight. You can choose 4 beers in total. There is some really top class beers to choose from and some of them are quite strong so be warned.
The Baseline Tap House has been a great addition to Hollywood Studios and it is a great location to stop and have a drink.
Some of our Favorite Wines at Disney World
Let’s take a look at some of our favorite wine choices at Epcot as well.
The Epcot Wine Walk (Epcot)
The wine walk takes place on World Showcase where you get to try different wines at France, Italy and Germany. You receive two acrylic reusable glasses and a wine walk passport which will be stamped at each location when you receive your wines. At each location you get to try two wines at each country (2 x two-ounce pours at each location) and this is a great way to try a variety of red and white wines while you tour World Showcase.
Champagne (Epcot and other select locations)
Why not indulge in a glass of champagne from the Champagne Les Vins des Chefs de France kiosk located at the France Pavilion on World Showcase. Yes, this might be a little extravagant, but we like to spoil ourselves a little on our Disney World Vacations.
Peach Bellini (Trattoria al Forno at the Boardwalk)
When dining at the Bon Voyage character breakfast we really enjoy the peach Bellini which is Ruffino Prosecco mixed with White Peach Puree and is nice refreshing sweet drink. Not something that you would normally have with breakfast but a lovely treat when on vacation. Trattoria Al Forno is one the Table service restaurants at the boardwalk which along with the Swan and Dolphin and Yacht and Beach Club are Disney resort hotels within walking distance to Epcot and the Disney Skyliner.
