Many people ask me is there an Indiana Jones Ride at Disney World prior to booking their vacation. There is actually a lot of confusion due to there being Indiana Jones Ride at both Disneyland in California and at Disneyland Paris. But what about Indiana Jones at Disney World?

1. So, is There an Indiana Jones Ride at Disney World?
Sadly, there is not an Indiana Jones based ride attraction at Disney World. There is however a very entertaining show at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios called Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular. This show can be found in the Echo Lake area of Hollywood Studios.
If you are in Hollywood Studios and in front of the Chinese Theater turn left and you will find the show across the water on the other side of Echo Lake.

2. What is Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney World?
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is a 30 minute show that looks at and recreates the famous stunts and set pieces seen in the original Raiders of the Lost Ark movie. As well as seeing these take place you will also find out how they are performed.
The show is performed as if the movie is being filmed in front of you and there are some big explosions at the end. The director and filming crew feature as well as actors portraying Indy and Marion from the classic movie.
You can expect the large boulders, Cairo Street fights, chases and the grand finale involving a fight on top of a German fighter plane as seen in the movie. Expect some really big explosions too during the show. If you are a fan of the movie like me, you will really enjoy the show. It is very entertaining.
3. Is There Any Other Indiana Jones Attractions at Disney World?
No there are no other Indiana Jones shows or attractions at Disney World. This could possibly change in the future though with a fifth film starring Harrison Ford currently in production. Some sort of tie in with the Disney World Parks could happen.
A new Indiana Jones ride and land has long been rumored and speculated about for Disney World, but nothing has ever happened (yet).
4. Is there an Indiana Jones Rides at Disneyland?
Yes at Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea – Indiana Jones Adventure
This is a great motion enhanced dark/thrill ride where you ride a 12-seater jeep style vehicle through the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. You need to be 48” or taller to ride this attraction.
The ride simulates fast paced driving over rough terrain as you make your way through the dangers of the temple in your search for Indiana Jones. It is a shame this ride has never made its way into one of the Disney World parks. It would be a great addition at Disney World.
5. Is there an Indiana Jones Rides at Disneyland Paris?
Yes – Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
Temple of Peril at Disneyland Paris is a fun rollercoaster loosely based on Indiana Jones. There are twists, turns and inversions in a coaster experience aimed for tweens, teenagers, and adults. You need to be at least 1.40m to ride the roller coaster.
If you like a more thrilling roller coaster experience, then you should enjoy Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril.
6. Rides at Disney World Similar to Indiana Jones
If you are looking for a ride experience that might be close to the Indiana Jones rides in the other Disney Parks around the world, I would recommend the following attractions. These are some rides that are pretty close to the rides found in other parks or rides that could easily feature or be based on an Indiana Jones adventure.
Dinosaur at Animal Kingdom
Dinosaur is very similar to the Indiana Jones Adventure attraction at Disneyland. The vehicles and ride experience are very similar. However, in Dinosaur you are travelling back in time to the age of the dinosaurs just before the meteor strike will hit earth and wipe them out. Dinosaur is a different story and theme but very much a very similar ride experience.
Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom
Couldn’t you imagine Indiana Jones coming across a yeti during an adventure based in the famous Asian mountains? Throw in broken railroads, a runaway train roller coaster experience and Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom could easily be an Indy based adventure.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom
Do you remember the mine train sequence in the Temple of Doom movie? Well, I think with Big Thunder Mountain and especially some of the caverns you pass through during the ride that it doesn’t take much imagination to see it as being close to an Indiana Jones experience.
