Star Tours – the Adventure Continues

Star Tours is a Star Wars simulator ride where you enter a transport ship and accidently take off with C3-PO as you pilot. You wear 3D glasses, and you secure yourself to your seat via a standard seatbelt before you take off and the rides begins. The great thing about Star Tours is that you never quite know what ride experience you will get.
This simulator ride has different experiences so you may not get the same ride experience twice. The simulator works really well with the screen giving you a real feel of flying through the Star Wars galaxy. The ride line is also fun preparing all the travelers for their journey with C3-PO making an appearance. During the ride you will fly though various scenes and planets from the Star War movies with different characters making an appearance during the ride. Star Tours is a lot of fun.
Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Rides
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Location: Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge
Height Restriction: Guests must be 38in (97cm) or taller
The first ride to open at Galaxy’s Edge was Smuggler’s Run. The ride is set out in a six-seat layout of the Falcon’s famous cockpit. The six riders have to undertake certain job functions such as operating the navigation computer ready for jump into hyperspace to get through the rides various missions. The ride is a great experience especially if you get to sit up front as a pilot. You are assigned your roles by a cast member before you enter the cockpit.
You can be: a pilot, a gunner or an engineer. The ride line is great with lots of things to look at and some great views of the Millennium Falcon located outside of the ride building. Prior to starting the ride you actually enter the Falcon where you can take a look around and get some great photos too.
Rise of the Resistance
Location: Star Wars galaxy’s Edge
Height Restriction: Guests must be 40in (102cm) or taller
This is an epic battle escape attraction with the setting of the attraction having riders trapped in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance. AT-AT vehicles, Kylo Ren and loads of First Order Troopers all feature in this immersive attraction. The ride vehicle is a First Order Fleet Transport seating eight riders in two rows of four and piloted by a First Order astromech droid. This ride is very immersive with the ride line making up part of the experience. Expect huge props, animatronics, drops and a fantastic Star Wars experience.
The standby line is a big part of the experience too where you will be briefed by Rey prior to entering a spaceship where you get captured and find yourself inside a First order Star Destroyer. A fantastic ride experience that any Star Wars fan has to experience when visiting Disney World.
