Animal Kingdom is the largest of the four main parks in Walt Disney World. Not only home to many different animals and species it is also packed full of attractions, entertainment and adventures spread over six different areas. There are lots of places to eat and drink too so I’m going to look at Where to eat at Animal Kingdom.
Exploring this expansive park is sure to give you an appetite especially when you see and smell some of the culinary delights on offer throughout. Animal Kingdom gives many options in regard to where to eat at from those who are looking for small snacks to a sit-down meal, there is such an abundance of choice that you may be hard to make a decision. Let’s have a look at all the options currently on offer in each of the six different areas when it comes to where to eat at Animal Kingdom.

Where to Eat in Asia at Animal Kingdom
Anandapur Ice Cream Truck – Snacks and Beverages
This small but brightly coloured truck is situated in Asia. Not offering a great selection of choice but if you are after an ice cream and a drink to cool down then this is a great place to stop. Soft serve ice cream is available here, choose between good old vanilla or chocolate, or if you prefer, order the twist (consisting of both vanilla and chocolate). The standard fountain beverages are available, or you can have these as a float – a great way to cool down. In terms of alcoholic drinks there is only one choice, the black cherry cider.
Drinkwallah – Snacks and Beverages
A great little place to stop by and grab a small snack to eat or a refreshing drink during your day at Animal Kingdom. Beverage choices here are either frozen beverages either Coca-Cola, blue raspberry or lemonade, bottled beverages such as Sprite and Coca-Cola as well as water. For those looking for an alcoholic choice enjoy Coca-Cola served with spiced rum or coconut lychee lemonade (a blend of Parrot bay coconut rum with lychee and Odwalla lemonade). There really isn’t much of a choice here for food however they do have a slightly different option from the standard choice – cinnamon glazed almonds or pecans as well as assorted chips.
Warung Outpost – Snacks and Beverages
Not much to choose from here in terms of snacks there is either the Mickey pretzel or a choice of assorted chips. As this is more of a lounge/bar there is a wider range of drinks available, for an alcoholic beverage Margaritas are the speciality with either a lime, strawberry or mango flavour or mix it up with all three flavours in the Triple Yeti Blast. The new Himalayan explorer has just come out, layers of strawberry and mango margarita topped with blue curacao. Also available is Bud Light or Tiger Beer Asian Lager. For a non-alcoholic drink there is the Shangri-La berry freeze (strawberry puree) or bottled water.
Caravan Road – Snacks and Beverages
Stop here to try one of two Asian inspired snacks, the Teriyaki beef slider served with a portion of picked cucumber or seasonally prepared Edamame. The beverages that are on offer are either an assorted fountain drink or bottled water.
Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes – Counter Service, Snacks and Beverages
A great location serving both breakfast and lunch/dinner options. For breakfast there is a good amount of choice whether you are looking for a quick bite or something more substantial. There is the breakfast bowl (scrambled egg, cheese, breakfast potatoes, pepper and onions) with the option of additional bacon or sausage, bacon and egg sandwich, English muffin served with egg whites, cheese and tomato and hash brown bites or choose to have this with sausage too.
In terms of lighter breakfast items, a fruits salad is available as well as a yogurt parfait or a side helping of hash brown bites. The choices on the kids’ breakfast menu is French toast, cereal or pancakes with sausages. Beverages at breakfast include apple or orange juice or coffee.
During lunch/dinner the menu has a much more Asian based feel, choose from the teriyaki beef bowl, honey sesame chicken, Asian chicken wrap, ginger chicken salad or the vegetable tikka masala. If you are looking for something less adventurous rib tips, cheeseburger or a hot dog is available. There are some great side dishes here too that can be used as a snack on their own or alongside your meal or even as a meal substitute, try the chicken fried rice as either as a side or a whole portion, French fries or pork egg rolls. For the kids’ there is either a cheeseburger, chicken strips or an Uncrustable sandwich. Again, beverage wise there is the choice of fountain drinks with or without the souvenir Panda cup (at an additional cost), bottled water, apple juice or milk. Alcoholic beverages are with Bud Light, Safari Amber or Sangria.
Yak and Yeti is one of our favorite places to eat at Animal Kingdom.
Yak & Yeti – Sit Down/Table Service.
Pan-Asian is the style at this Nepalese themed table service restaurant. There are so many great options here from noodles, wok cooked honey chicken or beef, specialities including Miso salmon, chicken tikka masala as well as the option of having BBQ ribs, beef burger or steak. Grab a side of rice or noodles. Desserts on the menu are chocolate pudding, cheesecake, fried wontons, sorbet, mango pie or pineapple upside down cake.
Kids’ can choose from either Asian inspired dishes, such as teriyaki chicken, chicken fried rice, noodles or tempura chicken or a cheeseburger, macaroni and cheese or corn dogs.
The beverage menu does not disappoint either with a large selection of non-alcoholic speciality drinks such as the Everest Refresher (sparkling water with either pear, passion fruit, south seas, lychee or lemon grass flavourings), hot teas in a variety of flavours as well as the standard soft drinks. There are so many alcoholic specialities too, the Pink Himalayan (Tanqueray Gin, red grapefruit juice, passion fruit and lemon grass), Kiwi Kimono (Don Q coconut rum, vodka, melon liquor, fresh kiwi and sweet and sour) as well as a large beer and wine menu. Please let your server know of any allergies as they provide additional menus. Booking is advisable to ensure a table for your party.

Where to Eat in Dinoland USA at Animal Kingdom
Whether you have come over to Dinoland to enjoy the great rides, to play the fairground games (additional costs), to meet some characters or even to let the kids have fun in the Boneyard you will find multiple places to grab a quick snack or a counter service meal when looking for somewhere to stop and eat at Animal Kingdom.
Dino-Bites Snacks – Snacks and Beverages.
This cute little stand offers a variety of snacks and beverages including a selection of alcoholic options. For those with a sweet tooth there is the ice cream cookie sandwich, Haagan Dazs scooped ice cream, vanilla, chocolate or strawberry, a hot fudge sundae or a fresh chocolate chip cookie. For the savoury option there is assorted chips or the Mickey pretzel with cheese dip. Here they sell the standard fountain beverages as well as coffee and for those who are after an alcoholic drink there is Bud, Old Elephant Foot IPA or West Draft Ale.
Dino Diner – Counter Service, Snacks and Beverages.
Whether you are looking for a snack or a quick meal this quaint old-fashioned truck is a great option. Entrée offerings; the all-beef hot dog served with chips, the chilli-cheese hot dog again served with chips or the corn chip pie (corn chips, chilli served with all the standard nacho toppings, sour cream, green onion, grated cheddar cheese and jalapenos). The classic churro with chocolate sauce is the snack option here. Beverages include the standard fountain drinks and bottled water as well as a frozen lemonade. For an alcoholic option there is Bud Light, Key West Sunset Draft Ale or cool down with a frozen lemonade mixed with raspberry Bacardi rum.
Pizzafari – Counter Service and Beverages.
This colourful eatery decorated with wildlife murals along the walls is spread over five different rooms. As the name suggests pizza is the main offering here with a wide selection of toppings such as sausage and pepperoni, vegetable and the classic cheese all served with a small side Caesar salad. The Caesar salad is also available as an entrée with or without chicken as well as a shrimp flatbread.
The accompaniments that can be ordered with a meal or on their own are either garlic knots, tomato basil soup or the side Caesar salad. There are two deserts that are normally available, a seasonal/speciality cupcake or the cannoli cake (a rich chocolate cake filled with chocolate-chip cannoli topped with chocolate ganache and a mini cannoli with ricotta and chocolate-chips). On the kid’s menu; Uncrustable sandwiches, Mickey pasta with turkey marinara sauce, macaroni and cheese or a cheese pizza.
Many of these menu items can be made allergy friendly just ask a cast member for the allergy friendly menu. There is a lot of choice in terms of beverages from the standard offerings of fountain drinks (you can also have your choice of fountain drink in a souvenir mug for an additional cost), bottled water and coffee they also have a speciality mandarin orange drink. For an alcoholic option there is lager, mandarin orange vodka and lemonade or the Emerald Mule (Irish whiskey and ginger beer).
Restaurantosaurus – Counter Service, Snacks and Beverages
Themed around palaeontology this restaurant has many options from entrees, kids’ meals, side dishes (which can be used as a snack) to desserts and both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drink options. On the entrée menu is the classic angus cheeseburger with or without bacon as well as the black bean burger both served with French fries.
If you are feeling extra hungry or would like a dessert included in the meal, then opt for the bacon cheeseburger combo where not only do you get the bacon cheeseburger but also a desert (normally a caramel chocolate brownie served warm) and your choice of non-alcoholic beverage. Other options include; grilled chicken BLT sandwich, chicken breast nuggets or breaded shrimp, again all served with French fries.
The salad option is grilled chicken with cranberries and mandarin oranges. For the kids’ either a cheeseburger or chicken breast nuggets or on the healthier Mickey check meals a turkey wrap or Uncrustable sandwich. The side dishes can be ordered alongside the entrees or on their own and make a good snack, here there is French fries (plain or the option to have chilli-cheese on top), jalapeno poppers, potato soup or a mandarin.
Dessert wise they have a couple of options, the warm caramel chocolate brownie or a themed cupcake as well as sometimes having a limited time offering normally based on seasonal events. To drink here you will find the standard fountain beverages (again for an additional cost you can have this served in a souvenir mug), bottled water, chocolate milk, juice, iced coffee (mocha or French vanilla) as well as an assortment of hot beverages. Wildberry lemonade is a speciality drink here (wildberry monin and lemonade). Alcoholic options include lager, margarita or the Emerald Mule (whiskey mixed with ginger beer). For those with any allergy obtain an additional menu from a cast member.
Where to Eat in Discovery Island at Animal Kingdom
The hub of Animal Kingdom is in the centre of the park and has links to all the different areas. It is home to the famous Tree of Life as well as other attractions including the Discovery Island stage where the dance parties take place and It’s Tough To Be A Bug show. You will find many options here when it comes to places to eat at Animal Kingdom.
Creature Comforts (Starbucks) – Snacks, Light Bites and Beverages
This is the location of Starbucks in Animal Kingdom. They offer the normal Starbucks beverage options, from coffees to iced frappuccinos as well as seasonal specialities. In terms of food you will find pastries including croissants, cupcakes, cookies and fruit cups. Creature comforts is the home of the giant Mickey cinnamon bun – this really is huge and can easily be shared between three or four people. If you are looking for something more substantial than during the morning, they offer breakfast sandwiches or at lunch/dinner time you may find paninis, sandwiches and salads.

Isle of Java – Snacks and Beverages.
Serving an assortment of pastries including the infamous Elephant ear pastry as well as a choice of muffins and cookies. You can also grab the apple cider donut holes from here which is freshly fried donuts with cinnamon apple pieces finished with apple cider glaze! There is a nice selection of beverages that are offered here from soft drinks to alcoholic options.
The standard beverages are available here such as fountain drinks, bottled water and apple/orange juice as well as iced coffee (vanilla or mocha flavour) and frozen beverages. They also have on offer hot beverages; coffee, hot cocoa, espresso and cappuccinos (including having a double shot option for that extra caffeine hit).
For those who would like an alcoholic drink here you can have the Island Cappuccino which is Captain Morgan spiced rum with white chocolate or a frozen Coca-Cola with Captain Morgan spiced rum.
Eight Spoon Café – Snacks, Light Bites and Beverages
Whether you are on your way in, out or walking between areas of Animal Kingdom stop by here for some classic Mac & Cheese. Not only can you get the standard baked macaroni cheese they offer some great toppings too, enjoy macaroni and cheese topped with pulled pork or shrimp in sweet chilli sauce. You can also get the Mickey pretzel here as well as assorted chips. The choice of beverages is minimal serving only fountain drinks or bottled water.
Flame Tree Barbecue – Counter Service, Snacks and Beverages
Some great offerings here with lots of choice both for food and drink, serving lunch and dinner. They have choices for all tastes and serve kids meals too. If you are looking for a hot meal you can have ½ a chicken, ribs and chicken combo or the sampler with ribs, chicken and pulled pork all served with the signature baked beans and coleslaw or pulled pork macaroni cheese dished up with onion rings and coleslaw. They also have smokehouse chicken salad, a mixed greens salad, cheddar cheese, diced apples, cornbread croutons, crispy onions with BBQ ranch dressing topped with pulled chicken.
On the kid’s menu there is turkey sandwich, Uncrustable sandwich, chicken drumstick (baked) or an all-beef hot dog. There are several side dishes that can be ordered and used as a snack, French fries, French fries topped with pulled pork and cheese, onion rings or if you are feeling healthy a mandarin.
If you are looking for a dessert or sweet snack option, they have a salted caramel apple cupcake (a vanilla cupcake with apple pie filling, caramel buttercream, salted caramel sauce, streusel crumbs and an apple chip)! For an accompanying drink there is the standard fountain choices, bottled water, coffee (regular or decaf), hot cocoa or tea. Many allergies are catered for (gluten/wheat, egg, milk, peanut, soy and fish/shellfish) and have their own menus, make sure you ask a cast member to obtain one.
Nomad Lounge – Small Plates and Beverages
This is really one for the adults as it is based around a bar specialising in alcoholic drinks. They have many high-quality wines, cocktails and beers as well as a selection of alcohol-free cocktails. The accompanying food choices are al a carte and a small plate sized which is great as you can then sample more of the different options available. Some of the options are; chicken satay, pork ribs, a selection of artisanal cheeses, truffle poutine or the chef’s selection of cured and smoked meats.
The Smiling Crocodile – Counter Service and Beverages
A small walk up hut offering a choice of two open sandwiches and a limited beverage selection. The sandwiches consist of either a turkey BLT or pimento cheese BLT served on ciabatta bread. Assorted fountain drinks and bottled water can be found here, and the only alcoholic option is the Safari Amber draft.
Tiffins – Fine/Signature Table Service
This restaurant is inspired by adventure and exploration and the menu is based on African cuisine. Booking is most definitely advisable for this restaurant. Tiffins is open for both lunch and dinner service and offers three courses of signature food as well as meal enhancements and speciality beverages.
The appetiser selection both at lunch and dinner includes artisanal cheeses, charred octopus, falafel, soup and Tiffins signature bread service. For the main courses some beautiful dishes are available; shrimp and grits, braised short ribs, halibut, pork belly or braised lamb shank. If this isn’t enough enjoy the enhancements at an extra cost of Gobi Manchurian (crispy fried cauliflower, Manchurian sauce and green onion), roasted brussels sprouts or lobster macaroni and cheese.
If there is still room or you just cannot resist there are many dessert choices, whipped cheesecake, guava mousse, Halo-Halo (sweet potato ice cream, jack fruit, raspberry and ginger beer sorbet, condensed milk ice cream and coconut crumble with Lime compote) or try the Tiffins trio, small portions of the chocolate ganache, whipped cheesecake and guava mousse. Kids’ are well catered for here with a choice of falafel, soup or garden vegetables for an appetiser, entrees are based on a create-your-own choosing one main and one side or dessert dish. The main dishes include, beef taco, grilled chicken breast or fish of the day, for their side green beans, roast potatoes, macaroni and cheese or the dessert options of cookies and cream brownie, Tres Leches (triple layered cake) or fresh fruit.
Tiffins have an extensive beverage menu serving non-alcoholic and alcoholic options. There are several non-alcoholic cocktails available such as the Balineze Breeze (mountain berry tea, syrup and lemon juice), Hibiscus Henna (watermelon, hibiscus, soda water and lime juice) and Lillie Gorill-ie (strawberry and Sprite).
For the alcoholic cocktails the selection includes; Annapurna Zing (Bombay Sapphire gin, passion fruit puree, mint, lime juice and ginger beer), Snow Leopard Salvation (Snow Leopard vodka, Belle de Brillet pear liqueur, mint, lime juice and ginger beer) and the Tempting Tigress (Russell’s Reserve 10yr bourbon, St Elizabeth Allspice Dram, Tamarind Syrup and lime juice). If cocktails aren’t your thing or you fancy something else draft and bottled beer as well as red wine by the glass is available.
Where to Eat in Africa at Animal Kingdom
The largest area of Animal Kingdom is home to a wide selection of food and drink options, shops and attractions. From entering this land through Harambe you can experience not only the Kilimanjaro Safari and the spectacular Lion King show you can also enjoy traditional African music and dancing entertainment performed in the Harambe market. While you explore this land, you will find many choices to eat and drink and opportunities to try some African inspired dishes.
Harambe Fruit Market – Snacks and Beverages
A great place to stop and grab a healthy, energising snack or drink. Here you will find freshly prepared fruit on offer such as watermelon slices, clementine and fruit cups as well as whole fruit and apple slices with caramel sauce. If you are fancying something more along the savoury line, then there is the fruit and nut trail mix, Babybel cheese (mini – six in a pack), assorted chips or the Mickey pretzel. Beverages available include apple or orange juice as well as the normal bottled drinks, Powerade and water.
Mahindi – Snacks and Beverages
At this little “hut” you can grab a snack or two as well as a refreshing drink to cool down after the Safari. On offer is popcorn (including the souvenir popcorn bucket), assorted chips as well as the cinnamon glazed almonds and pecans. To drink there is the assorted fountain beverages (you can also purchase a themed Animal Kingdom Canteen to be filled with your choice of fountain beverage as well) or opt for a Bud Light.
Tamu Tamu – Snacks (Desserts) and Beverages
Serving only sweet snack options and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. If you are searching for the infamous Pineapple Dole Whip look no further, you can grab it here along with a selection of ice cream desert options. Choose from the double chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich, a Mickey ice cream sundae or the Malva cake sundae (a warm cake served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce). To quench your thirst there is the assorted fountain drinks along with bottled water. There are many alcoholic options here; the Pineapple Dole Whip laced with either dark rum or coconut rum, assorted beers and Safari amber draft or the African coffee (coffee with Amarula cream liqueur).
Harambe Market – Counter Service, Snacks and Beverages
This is set out and themed like an authentic African market. There are four walk up windows that you can order a wide range of African inspired dishes.
In regards to entrees there is a great selection of dishes available, for those looking for a meat based dish they have either chicken or beef and lamb gyro (meat that has been cooked on a vertical rotisserie) served on an open Naan bread with cucumber, tomatoes with Tzatziki sauce ( a yogurt based sauce with garlic and cucumbers) along with African coleslaw, pork sausages also served on an open Naan with a ketchup-curry-onion relish.
Available also are the “bowls” either ribs or chicken served with rice and salad greens topped with salsa as well as a roasted vegetable bowl served with roasted vegetables, rice and salad greens. For that sweet finish or a dessert -based snack choose from shave ice available in three different flavours; pineapple, watermelon or passion fruit or the safari cake (coconut cake with pineapple and coconut flavoured mousse coated in chocolate). Kids menu choices are on offer here too, the healthy Mickey check meal is a grilled barbequed chicken skewer or the other options on the standard kids’ menu are the barbeque ribs or a corn dog.
For beverages they have original African drinks such as Bibo and Sparletta (you can also find these in the Coca-Cola store at Disney Springs or try them for free over at Klub Kool at Epcot!), non-alcoholic cocktail with strawberry and passion fruit flavourings, watermelon lemonade as well as the standard fountain beverages and coffee (including iced coffee). They have a wide range of alcoholic options from a selection lager and draft ales, spirits and mixers to sangria and alcoholic shaved ice. Again, for those with any allergies make sure that you inform the cast members to obtain an allergy friendly menu.
Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery – Counter Service, Snacks and Beverages Serving both breakfast and lunch as well as snacks there is a nice selection to choose from here. For those looking for a light breakfast there is a fresh fruit cup, cereal or Greek yogurt. There is also a variety of pastries including croissants, muffins, the colossal cinnamon roll (this is huge – ideal to share between two or more) and the elephant ears pastry. For a hot breakfast there is the option of a breakfast wrap with egg, sausage, spinach and goats cheese served hot. At lunch time sandwiches with a variety of fillings are available, roast beef (served hot), smoked turkey or tomato and mozzarella all served with curry spiced chips. Many of the pastries and Danishes served at breakfast are available all day. To quench your thirst the beverage menu has many choices including apple or orange juice, coffee (hot or iced), cocoa and fountain drinks. One alcoholic option is on offer here Amarula cream liqueur mixed iced coffee.
Tusker House – Table Service/Character Meals
An all you can eat African inspired buffet serving breakfast and lunch/dinner. Not only do you get a great buffet with the chance to try some African dishes you will also get to meet Donald and his friends (normally Mickey, Daisy and Goofy) all in their safari gear.
The breakfast buffet consists of the standard breakfast items, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, breads and character waffles (Simba and Nala) as well as African dishes such as the beef bobotie. Fresh fruit and cereal are also available. You will get a choice of unlimited juices, coffee or tea to accompany your breakfast or order a beverage off the menu.
The lunch and dinner buffet are virtually the same, items include fresh breads, dips, chicken, curries, pork, salmon and rice. They also have meats and cheeses, mashed potatoes. Macaroni and cheese and corn dog bites. There is often a large selection of desserts available including banana bread pudding and a variety of cookies and cakes. Again, juice and coffee/tea accompany this or order of the beverage menu. At this time of day more alcoholic options are available, margaritas, African beer or cocktails. You will need a reservation here can be made up to 180 days before your vacation.
Allergies are catered for just inform your server and they will show you what is available at the buffet or have the chef come out and talk with you to arrange dishes for you.

Where to Eat in Pandora at Animal Kingdom
The newest (and currently the most popular) land at Animal Kingdom. Based on the film Pandora this is a fully immersive land from the sights and smells and even the tastes from Pandora have been catered for. There are a couple of places here that you can have a snack or a counter service meal.
Pongu Pongu – Snacks, Light Meals and Beverages
This food outlet serves both snacks and light “counter service” options as well as a variety of beverages. Some of the choices here are inspired by the “Na’vi” cuisine. If you aim to get to Pandora in the morning you can stop and have a breakfast here; choose between the sausage and egg biscuit, French toast sticks or the Pongu Lumpia (a spring roll filled with pineapple cream cheese).
If you find yourself there at lunch time or later, you can still get the Pongu Lumpia or the other choice is the colossal pretzel served with beer cheese sauce (the sauce is optional so please do let the cast member know at time of ordering if you do not wish to have it).
The beverages here really are the best bit, they are themed so well and make great Instagram pictures! For non-alcoholic options you can try the Night Blossom, this is made of layers of apple and desert pear limeade topped with those Boba balls (passion fruit flavour). They also serve this, for an extra cost in a souvenir mug that comes with a glowing Unadelta Seed. For those wanting an alcoholic drink there are a variety of Ales that are on offer, you can also get a draft beer in a souvenir cup with the glowing Unadelta Seed!
There is also a couple of cocktails to choose from; the Mo’ara Margarita, strawberry and blood orange flavours with Sauze Conmemorativo Anejo Tequila topped with passion fruit Boba balls or a Rum Blossom, this is basically the Night Blossom but laced with Barcardi Superior Rum. Again, you can get either one of the speciality cocktails in the souvenir cup with the glowing Unadelta Seed.
Satu’li Canteen – Counter Service, Snacks and Beverages
Whilst the menu here is based around the beauty of Pandora the theming is of an RDA mess hall. This is a great place to try something different and a little bit healthier. The entrees here are based on “bowls” with various options to choose from, such as shrimp, grilled beef, grilled chicken, the beef and chicken combo or tofu. Each one is served with vegetable slaw and boba balls along with your choice of base and sauce.
For those in a party of four or more there is the option of the Satu’li sampler platter where you choose four proteins, get a sampling of all the bases and sauces as well as the vegetable slaw, boba balls and four non-alcoholic beverages. On the kids’ menu there is a smaller sized chicken, beef or tofu bowl or the cheeseburger steamed pod, Teylu (beef hot dog wrapped in dough) or cheese quesadilla. Just because these are on the kids’ menu doesn’t mean adults can not order from them (the cheeseburger pods are popular among all ages!).
The dessert choices here are the blueberry cream cheese mouse or a chocolate cake with a crunch cookie layer topped with banana cream. The non-alcoholic themed beverage is the Pandora sunrise (tropical juices mixed with melon Powerade) served in a Na’vi flute cup and pineapple garnish for an additional cost.
There are the standard other beverages here, assorted fountain drinks (with or without the Na’vi flute cup), coffee, cold brew coffee and bottled water. In terms of alcoholic choices there is a variety of ales (including some produced locally), wines and sangria. As of most counter and table service locations an allergy friendly menu is available.

Rainforest Café – Table Service and Beverages
Situated just after the entrance to Animal Kingdom this well-known chain restaurant is another sit-down/table service option. Themed around a rainforest this family friendly restaurant has a great menu with lots of choices to suit all appetites and ages.
The Rainforest Café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and it is recommended that you make a reservation to ensure you get a table. Breakfast choices include omelettes, eggs benedict, waffles, breakfast pizza (Mexican style breakfast pizza with salsa, scrambled eggs, tomatoes, peppers and cheese), oatmeal or Tonga Toast (cinnamon French toast, maple syrup, strawberries and bananas with either bacon or sausage). The kids’ breakfast has the same items but a smaller portion. There are a number of beverages that are available at breakfast from the standard juices, soft drinks, hot beverages, non-alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails as well as mimosa.
At lunch and dinner, a range of appetisers, entrees, side dishes and desserts are available as well as an extensive beverage list. Appetisers include nachos, flatbreads and cheese sticks or opt for a soup or salad. Again, there is a lot of options for a main course, a variety of salads, burgers, fish, sandwiches, pasta and steak are on offer. For dessert share the colossal Volcano cake between three or more (this is a giant chocolate cake, served warm with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and topped with caramel and chocolate sauce) or pick an individual portion of cheesecake, sorbet or key lime pie.
The kids’ menu has a wide variety of choices from the classic hot dog, grilled chicken and pasta to themed meals such as the Jurassic chicken tidbits (dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets). There are only two dessert options on the kids’ menu an ice cream sandwich or chocolate pudding. Beverages at lunch and dinner are like that at breakfast but with the addition of a choice of smoothies or frozen drinks (you get to keep the glass with these), both a beer and wine menu and more cocktails.
