Best Shoes for Disney World – Men
Skechers GoWalk
For the men in your party we would recommend Skechers Go Walk and Nike Air Max sneakers. They are both such great quality and you really can cover some miles in them from our experience. Skechers GoWalk are designed for comfort over long distances – which is ideal for Disney World.

Nike Air Max
Nike Air Max also offer a lot of cushioning for feet that might be covering many miles. In the past I have worn a combination of Nike Air Max and Vans sneakers. The cushioned footbed that Nike Air Max provide is an ideal choice for men to pack for a Disney World vacation.

Slip On Vans
I also like to wear slip on Vans too. I personally love the different designs you can get, and they are also very comfortable. They are quite easy to slip on and off as well if like me you sneakily slip them off when you are sat on a wall or somewhere outside in a Disney Park having a drink and a short break.

Best Shoes for Disney World – Women
We really like Skechers Go Walk and Nike Air Max trainers. Both are really high quality and are comfortable to wear on a long day in the Disney World parks. Basically both of these will have you covered for all your walking needs at Disney World.

Best Shoes for Disney World – Small Children
Small kids always need good shoes for their growing feet, but they do get some rest if they still need a stroller. When our kids were smaller we always liked to get them some good quality Disney styled shoes as the were fun for the kids as well as being good sneakers too.

Best Shoes for Disney World – Older Children/Teens
Our daughter really loves Vans and just like the ones I wear they are really great quality too. We really like Vans their footwear is really hard wearing and also comfortable. This is perfect for a Disney World vacation.
We also like Adidas sneakers like the ones below too and have purchased these for our daughter recently too and they did a great job too at Disney World.
For our son we normally go for Nike Air Max too as they are well cushioned for comfort (our Son struggles with shoes and use insoles a lot especially at school) and these do a great job.

Best Sandals for Disney World
Sandals can be a good option too especially if you have a day planned exploring World Showcase at Epcot or you are spending some time at Disney Springs.
For men the Skechers sandals are also very good as you would expect from Skechers. Very well padded for comfort and very sturdy too.
The Skechers Womens Reggae Sandals are ones that we are looking at for our next trip to Disney World.
Best Flip Flops for Disney World
Flip flops are great for wearing around your resort. You can wear them on trips to the food court or to the pool and of course you can wear them to the parks too if you are comfortable with wearing them for longer periods (which a lot of people are).
We love Havaiana Flip Flops and there is a Havaiana store at Disney Springs which we always visit.

Skechers On the Go flip flops are also excellent and designed for comfort so they are great for Disney World. These are definitely worth considering and you can find the latest prices here.
A really high quality flip flop for men are Columbia Flip Flops that can do some distance around the parks.
Water Shoes for the Disney World Water Parks
We don’t pack water shoes for ourselves, but we do pack them for the children. They are great for the kids as they can go in and out of the water as they want and give their feet some extra protection when we move around the water parks to enjoy the various water slides.

Other Helpful Items For Your Vacation Shoes
Insoles
On our last trip to Disney World I purchased some insoles for my trainers to make them the little bit more comfortable. After walking 9 miles on some days I was glad that I had got them, and you can find a range of insoles here.
Shoe Protector Spray (Water and Stain Repellent)
We always treat all of our trainers and shoes with a protector spray just to give them an extra shield of protection for the vacation. It’s not exactly dirty at Disney World but when you are enjoying water rides like Splash Mountain if gives your shoes some extra protection so that you can get plenty of use from them after your vacation. Shoe Deodorizer Spray
Let’s be honest it is hot in Florida and wearing your shoes all day in the heat can make them smell a little. Sometimes it just best to have some deodorizer with you to make that footwear a little more pleasant. You can find Shoe Deodorizer spray on Amazon here.

You can wear all sorts of footwear at Disney World but the one rule to remember is that you cannot wear skates or shoes with in built wheels. So, if you have kids that love their Heelys then I’m afraid they will need to stay at home.
Some Extra Tips for Your Shoes and Feet at Disney World
Here are some extra tips to consider when thinking about your shoes and feet during a Disney World vacation. Hopefully these
- We recommend you take a few pairs of shoes with you to Disney World. It is nice to be able to change them day to day and give a pair a rest after a day filled with a lot of walking.
- Slip on sneakers are great for a plane journey if you are flying to Disney World. You can pop them off for a short while if needed on the flight.
- Always try to wear new footwear in a little before your Disney World Vacation you don’t really want to wear them for the first time when you are there and about to walk around the parks. Break them in a little bit.
- Insoles are a good idea if you know that you have feet that will ache after a long day.
- If you have a hotel room with a bath, then put a little bit of water in it and give your tired feet a bit of a soak at the end of a long day or just have a lovely proper bath.
