Where Will You Find Ariel at Disney World?
There are a few different locations where you will find Ariel at WDW. You can meet and see her at the following locations.
1. Ariel’s Grotto
Location: Fantasyland, Magic Kingdom
Located right next to Prince Eric’s castle in Fantasyland you will find Ariel’s Grotto. This is the spot to meet Ariel. You will find photopass photographers here to take you photo with her and you can also get an Autograph too.
Ariel’s Grotto is a really nice location for a great photo opportunity for any Little Mermaid fans in your family.

2. Cinderella’s Royal Table
Location: Magic Kingdom
This hugely popular dining experience is held at Cinderella’s Royal Table restaurant which is located inside the actual castle at Magic Kingdom. Be warned that this can be a difficult dining reservation to get on My Disney Experience due to it being the only dining experience offered inside the castle.
When character dining is being held a host of princesses appear including Ariel. Cinderella herself meets guests (for a photo) as you enter the grand hall along with Snow White, Aurora, Jasmine and Ariel who appear when you are dining upstairs in the restaurant.
This is a signature dining reservation too and the food is of very high quality. I have enjoyed both Breakfast and Dinner at Cinderella’s royal table over the years, with dinner being exceptional.
3. Festival of Fantasy Parade
Location: Magic Kingdom (Parade Route)
During the afternoon at Magic Kingdom Ariel features in the the Festival of Fantasy Parade as it makes its way through Magic Kingdom in the afternoon. Her Little Mermaid under the sea float features herself sat on a clam shell alongside some of her underwater friends such as Sebastian the crab and Flounder and lot’s of other fish characters.
The under the sea float is one of the smaller floats in the parade but is great to see as Ariel appears and makes her way through Magic Kingdom.
4. The Christmas Parade
Location: Magic Kingdom Parade Route
Ariel and Eric also appear in the Magic Kingdom Christmas parade that you see throughout the holiday season at Disney World. They appear on a parade float with other Disney Princes and Princesses.
5. Bon Voyage Breakfast at Trattoria Al Forno
Location: Trattoria Al Forno at Disney’s Boardwalk
At the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast you get to meet Ariel the Little Mermaid and Prince Eric along with Rapunzel and Flynn Rider,too. You really get a great opportunity to chat with Ariel and get some autographs and photos too. The food on offer here is absolutely delicious too. This is one of my favorite breakfasts at Disney World and meeting the characters really adds to the experience.
A wonderful character dining experience. The Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast is expected to return at some in 2022 as restrictions gradually lift across Disney World.
6. Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Location: Norway Pavilion (Epcot World Showcase)
Akershus Royal banquet Hall is a little easier to get a reservation for compared to Cinderella’s Royal Table and the good news is Ariel can also be found here too. She appears alongside: Belle, Snow White, Aurora and Cinderella in this great Princess storybook dining experience at Epcot.
7. The Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Location: Animation Courtyard (Hollywood Studios)
At around 20 minutes this show tells the story of the Little Mermaid using actors and puppets to play characters such as King Triton and Sebastian. Like the Beauty and the Beast show this one is definitely for fans of the film but to be fair is a nice show to entertain a family with younger children.
What About the Little Mermaid at Disney’s Animal Kingdom?
Although the Little Mermaid can be found at Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you will not find Ariel at Animal Kingdom.

What about the Disney World Resort Hotels?
Although you will not find the Little Mermaid in person at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort you will find a whole section of the resort dedicated to the movie and it’s characters. You will find giant characters from the movies such as Ariel and Flounder and all the buildings are decorated to match the theme of the movie.
A perfect resort for Little Mermaid fans to stay at during a Disney vacation and a value resort too.
Can I See Other Characters from The Little Mermaid at Walt Disney World Resort
You can see various characters in the attractions at Walt Disney World. The only character from the Little Mermaid other than Ariel to meet is Prince Eric. Who appears alongside Ariel at the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast as detailed earlier in this article.
Is There a Little Mermaid Ride at Disney World?
Yes there is indeed a Little Mermaid ride in the Disney theme parks and you will find it at Magic Kingdom. There is also a Little Mermaid show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios too. Let’s take a look at what to expect.
Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid
Location: Magic Kingdom – Fantasyland
Journey of the Little Mermaid in Magic Kingdom is great modern dark ride that does a really good job of using modern animatronics and effects. the ride takes you through various scenes of the movie with another omni mover system. As you enter the ride you pass by Prince Eric’s castle into the ride building.
Take the Journey of the Little of the Little Mermaid as you go underwater (don’t worry no actual water is involved) to watch Ariel’s story unfold in this dark ride that uses music and great animatronics to tell the story of the Disney movie. All of the characters from the movie feature along with the music too. One of the more modern dark rides at Magic Kingdom and a very enjoyable one too.
