Find Out More About Magic Kingdom:

Best Magic Kingdom Snacks

There are a lot of famous snacks at Magic Kingdom theme park and they are very tasty too. Definitely try some of these that are included on my list like the Giant Mickey Cookie, the Dole Whip Float and the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich. There is a lot to choose from and below are my best snacks at Magic.

1. Large Mickey Chocolate Chip Cookie

Available at the Main Street Confectionary the large Mickey chocolate chip cookie it would be fair to say is huge! A huge Mickey shaped cookie with chocolate chips and chocolate covered along the top in chocolate. This cookie is snack credit eligible on the dining plan and is a great use of a snack credit.

When we get one of these on our vacations at Walt Disney World we always share it between two of us and sometimes between all four of us. One of the best snacks at Magic Kingdom for families on the dining plan.

2. A Dole Whip Float at Aloha Isle

I love the Dole Whip Float it is so refreshing on a hot day in the Magic Kingdom. You can get this from Aloha Isle in Adventureland and again you can use a snack credit if you have the dining plan. The Dole Whip is one of the classic snacks at Magic Kingdom. A dole Whip is a frozen pineapple soft serve treat and having a Dole whip float you get the refreshing pineapple juice too.

Disney World Best Desserts - Dole Whip

I can’t recommend a Dole Whip Float enough for a refreshing treat on a hot Magic Kingdom theme park day.  They are so refreshing in the Florida sun.

Did you know that you can also get a dole whip from the Polynesian resort and Disney Springs too?

3. Turkey Leg

One for the meat lovers. Another one of the classic snacks at Magic Kingdom is the turkey leg and it’s something you have to try at least once. You’ll find them at the Turkey Leg Cart in Frontierland. Again another huge snack in fact I would say this is more of a small meal.

They are not part of the dining plan so you do have to buy them but they are such a famous Walt Disney World snack that is definitely worth trying once. When I had my first Turkey Leg I was surprised by the amount of people that came up to me and asked where to get turkey legs from so they can get you a bit of attention in the park too.

4. Mickey Pretzel with Cheese Sauce

You can get Mickey Pretzels from various locations throughout most of the Disney parks. But I have included it on this list as it is another of the iconic Disney snacks and of the best Magic Kingdom snack options that is great to have whilst moving around Magic Kingdom. Have the cheese sauce too, I call it plastic cheese but I love it and wouldn’t want a Mickey Pretzel without a tub of cheese.

I have also been offered one for free in the Magic Kingdom right at the end of the day. Rather than wasting any unsold pretzels the cast members will offer them to you and as they say ‘they are on the mouse’!

5. Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich from Sleepy Hollow

Sleepy Hollow is a nice little quick service kiosk in Liberty Square with a nice little outside seated area too. There are a few nice snacks from this location but the Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich is my favorite. Two lovely cookies with a very generous portion of lovely vanilla ice cream and it’s one of the best snacks you can easily share with another family member if needed.

My daughter and I often share one so it can be another great use of a snack credit. These are also available at the ice cream parlor in the park too. Storybook Treats in Fantasyland is also another goo location if you have a sweet tooth and enjoy ice cream treats.

6. A Chicken Waffle Sandwich from Sleepy Hollow Inn

Looking for a savory alternative to the fresh fruit waffle sandwich at Sleepy Hollow? Look no further as they offer a delicious mouth watering chicken waffle sandwich which in all honesty could be a lunch option for a lot of people rather than just a snack. Let the kids enjoy the ice cream snacks whilst you get your Magic Kingdom chicken fix with this warm waffle sandwich.

7. Giant Cinnamon Roll (plus LeFou’s Brew) from Gaston’s Tavern

Gaston’s Tavern is located towards the back of Fantasyland between Be Our Guest and Journey of the Little Mermaid and it is here you will find the warm giant cinnamon roll. I love a warm cinnamon roll especially when on vacation at Disney World as they are widely available but there are only a few locations where you can a larger one and in Magic Kingdom it is at Gaston’s Tavern.

Whilst enjoying the cinnamon roll you could also try LeFou’s Brew which is a Frozen Apple Juice with a hint of Toasted Marshmallow and topped with All-Natural Passion Fruit-Mango Foam. Definitely a couple of the best snacks to try when in that area of the park.

8. Mickey Ice Cream

A great way to cool down in the Magic Kingdom is with a Mickey Ice Cream Bar. These are always popular with the kids and you can find them at loads of locations throughout Magic Kingdom Park.

You can use a snack credit if you want (if you are on the dining plan) but be very careful on a really hot day because once you break through that chocolate you need to get stuck into the vanilla ice cream really quickly before it melts. Not for the slow eaters on a hot day!

9. Giant Mickey Waffle (Sleepy Hollow again!)

If you haven’t worked it out yet Sleepy Hollow refreshments is one of my favorite spots at Magic Kingdom for a snack. One final Magic Kingdom snack that I have to mention from this location is the Giant Mickey waffles. Available with powered sugar and strawberries or just powdered sugar this is a great early morning snack to enjoy to keep you going until lunch. One of the best Magic Kingdom snack options for a quick breakfast and great with a coffee.

You have to have a Mickey waffle during your Disney vacation so why not go all in with this option that is considerably larger compared to the Mickey waffles found at Walt Disney World breakfast buffet restaurants.

10. Churro (Frontierland cart)

Again one of the best snacks that are sweet that you can find in a lot of places in Magic Kingdom and throughout Walt Disney World the Churro is another snack popular with my kids and to be honest I don’t mind one too. Another great snack to eat on move if you need to get to another attraction so you don’t miss a fast pass. Cinnamon and sugar on fried dough pastry, what’s not to love?

11. Starbucks

Now we all know pretty much what we are going to get from a Starbucks right? Coffee is of course the obvious answer but if you are on the dining plan you can use a snack credit to get the largest drinks available. I will quite often get the largest Iced Coffee I can early on in the day or perhaps a Caramel Frappuccino later on in the day to cool me down a bit.

Definitely something to think about if you are on the dining plan especially if you aren’t using up those snack credits as you get through your Walt Disney World vacation.

12. Sweet Treats from Main Street Confectionery or Big Top Treats

This pick is a bit of a cheat if I am being perfectly honest, but hey I’m going to go with it anyway! There are so many yummy sweet treats at both the Main Street Confectionery and at Big Top Treats that the two locations themselves deserve a mention for a Magic Kingdom snack.

You have all the candy apples, caramel apples, the cookies and all the krispie treats that it can sometimes be very difficult to choose something. I have fond memories of grabbing a sweet snack from the Main Street Confectionery and then heading out on to Main Street to watch the fireworks.

My Favorite Snacks at Magic Kingdom

So those are my best snacks at Magic Kingdom and all personal favorite choices of mine when visiting Disney World. There are so many snacks available that I’m sure if you have already been to Walt Disney World that your list will be different to mine and there are new snacks being released throughout the year along with some that disappear only to come back again at some point.

Cinderella Castle Magic Kingdom

So other than the rides, shows and everything else to entertain you in Magic Kingdom there are lots of snacks, treats and drinks to enjoy too.

If there is anything in particular you really want to try before you arrive at Magic Kingdom then I would advise to do a little bit of research first so that you know where you need to be heading to get the treats you really want to try.
