Without a doubt, the most famous red-haired Disney princess, Ariel makes the top of our list. She may be young, but she possesses plenty of nerve and spunk for more than one rebellious teenage mermaid. Defying her father’s wishes, she seeks out the help of a witch to aid in her quest for true love.

2. Merida
Another Disney princess, but this one a landlubber, Merida from Brave fully embraces her wild ginger side. Her crazy locks are a perfect reflection of her love of freedom and thirst for a life not bound by duty. She embarks on an unforeseen adventure when her mom is transformed into a bear.
She must rely on her courage – no doubt, aided by the fiery trestles – to help save her mom and their rocky relationship. Merida is the red hair Disney princess name that truly is Brave. We’ll meet more red headed princesses below.
3. Giselle
Giselle from Enchanted seems a bit tame for the usual fiery Disney redhead, but she is not as docile and meek as she initially appears to be. How else could she influence an entire park full of people to do a song and dance much less face a dragon in the end of the movie?

The youngest daughter of Arendelle royalty, princess Anna from the movie Frozen has way too much verve and energy to be locked up in her castle home for years. Perhaps that’s why she jumps at the chance to marry the first man she meets, unafraid to take risks.
Lucky for her, that relationship didn’t quite pan out but her recklessly headstrong ways help save her sister and her people on more than one occasion.

1. Peter Pan
Talk about going against convention, this young man defied tradition so much that he refused to grow up! Peter Pan is a prime example of the fun-loving yet fiery nature of redheads. He spends his days fighting pirates, rescuing Indian princesses, and flying around with his best friend Tinkerbell.
With all that zeal for life, it’s hard to say no to being a kid forever and shirking the responsibilities of adulthood.
2. Jessie from Toy Story
This rooting tooting carousing cowgirl from the Toy Story sequels is next on our list of Disney redheads. Jessie knows how to hold her own and even capture the eye of the space ranger Buzz Lightyear. Although she’s had a painful past, Jessie doesn’t let that get in the way of her ability to have fun.

Yes, she technically is a fox, but Maid Marian from Robin Hood still counts on our list of Disney redheaded characters. She has a gentle spirit but her love for the tenacious and rabble-rousing Robin Hood (also a redhead) shows off her wild side.
