1. Mouse Ears
You can buy mouse ears at Disney World but there are also lots of different mouse ears you can buy before your vacation. These can be cheaper than the ones you buy at Disney World and can be great for anyone to wear on you travel day to Florida.
You can read our full guide to Mouse Ears you can buy before your vacation here.
2. Disney Backpack
Why not treat yourself to a Disney backpack for the parks. If you can get away with a small backpack, then Loungefly have some really nice designs like the one below.
For some more practical options take a look at my article on the best backpacks for Disney World here.
3. Disney Water Bottles
You need to keep hydrated when enjoying Walt Disney World. Why not keep hydrated with a Disney Water bottle to fully show your Disney side. There is free iced water offered throughout the parks as well as the drinks fountains where you can also top up your water bottle if needed. It is always good to have some water to hand on a hot day, especially if you caught in a line for an attraction.
4. A Disney Fanny Pack
If you don’t need a backpack at Disney World then a Disney Fanny Pack can come in useful for storing the small items that you need carry with you like your phone, purse and camera. A fanny pack can really come into its own at Disney World as they are so useful for securing items when enjoying all the rides at Disney World.
5. Comfortable Sneakers
Comfortable sneakers are an absolute must on anybody’s list of essential Disney World accessories. You will cover a lot of ground at Disney World in fact probably many miles a day and you need to look after your feet. The best way to do that is to have a comfortable pair of sneakers that is up to the challenge.
You can read more about the best sneakers and sandals for all your family here.
6. Autograph Book
Just like mouse ears you can also buy your autograph books before your vacation. In fact you can buy official Disney autograph books before your vacation. The design below is one you can here on Amazon.
7. A Travel Hairbrush
A small travel hairbrush is really useful for tidying up your hair after a few hours in the Florida humidity. A small hairbrush is an essential Disney World accessory that can fit in your fanny pack or backpack.
8. A Fun Disney T-Shirt
Everybody needs a few fun t-shirt designs for their Disney World vacation. I would say a good Disney T-Shirt is one of the ultimate Disney World accessories. I like to have a good selection of different designs for a Disney World vacation. Take a look at the one below it’s from our Etsy Store.
9. Or a Disney Tank Top
Just like a T-Shirt but if you want to go for something that’s a little cooler you can go for a tank top. We have lots of fun designs just like the one below that can be found in our Etsy Store here.
10. A Good Pair of Sunglasses
The Florida sun is very bright, especially when you just walk out of a ride buildng and you can find it quite dazzling. A good pair of sunglasses will serve you well at Disney World and it’s a must have accessory. I am a big fan of Ray Bans and wear a pair like the one below.
11. A Handheld or Wearable Fan
If you are visiting Disney World at a time of the year when it is going to be really hot (as in full on Florida hot) then consider using a handheld fan for those moments when you can’t escape to the air con inside a park shop. You can get fans of different sizes and even ones that you can wear around your neck.
12. A Journal for Your Vacation Memories
Very much like the notebooks I mentioned earlier on in the article but this time you might feel need to record what you have done each day in a journal. This is a great way to revisit your vacation when you are back home and tie in the photos you take with what you have written in your journal. You can even get a Disney Inspired Journal like the one below.
13. Lots of SD Cards
If you are like me, you are going to take a lot of photos. I love taking photos at Disney World and will take photos of everything I see as there is so much detail that can often go unnoticed at Disney World (plus I need photos to share with you on this blog). For all these photos being taken you will need SD Cards to store them on. I usually go for ones with a lot of capacity like the ones below.
14. Spare Camera Batteries
As well as SD Cards for your camera I like to take spare camera batteries and a camera battery charger too so that I always have at least two batteries to use at any one time. One in the camera and a backup battery just in case. Simple things like spare camera batteries can be the essential Disney World accessories you don’t think of until you need them.
15. A Portable Phone Charger
Of course, many of us use our phones to take photos at Disney World rather than a Camera or as well as having a camera. We always take a portable charger with us into the Disney World parks just so we can charge our phones if we need to. We use the portable charger below.
You can also find a wider selection of portable chargers on Amazon here.
16. A Book for the Journey
A good book is always a good vacation accessory to pack but is especially good if you have to take a long flight to get to Florida and Disney World. You might even want to consider reading a book about Disney World or even Walt Disney Himself to get you in the mood for your vacation. The Hidden Magic of Walt Disney World is a very interesting guide to all the secrets and hidden treasures you can find throughout all the parks.
You can also find all our suggestions for books to read before going to Disney World here.
17. Cooling Towels
Another item to help you and your family deal with the Florida sun and heat is a set of cooling towels. These towels that you soak, wring it and shake it really do a good job of cooling you down and you can wear them around your neck, head or wrist. They also come with a carry pouch too which ideal for backpacks.
18. Luggage Stickers
I love a luggage sticker because I am useless at identifying our luggage when we arrive at Orlando International Airport. A nice bright luggage sticker that really stands out makes it so much easier to spot your luggage when you are thinking about getting to Disney World after your flight.
19. Anti Lost Wrist Link
If you have very young children that like to walk around then these are ideal for a little bit of extra security. These can be good for any really busy days in the park or for in the evenings when it gets darker especially when watching the fireworks. This is a great multi purpose set that gives you plenty of options.
20. Bitbelts for your MagicBands
Bitbelts are a useful little accessory that can secure a loose MagicBand and prevent them coming loose during your Disney World vacation. In the past we have lost MagicBands at Blizzard Beach and a Bitbelts provides a bit more of extra protection from you MagicBand becoming loose and falling off your wrist.
21. A Disney Hat
Finally how about a Disney Hat to help protect you from the sun in the parks. There are lots of great designs out there but you can’t beat a simple Mickey Mouse design just like the Disney cap below.
